Terms of service
Last updated August 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of SendSignal: the sending API, SMTP relay, console, and the public deliverability tools. By creating an account or using the services you agree to them.
The service
SendSignal transmits email on your behalf over Amazon SES infrastructure, and provides delivery events, domain management, audiences, and related tooling. We aim for high availability and publish current status at status.sendsignal.dev, but the service is provided as is, without a warranty of uninterrupted operation.
Your account
- You are responsible for activity under your API keys; keep them secret.
- Use a sending-scoped key where a full-access key is not needed.
- You must provide accurate account information.
Acceptable use
Email you send through SendSignal must be mail your recipients expect. You must not:
- Send unsolicited bulk email, purchased lists, or mail to addresses without consent or an existing relationship.
- Falsify headers, sender identity, or unsubscribe behavior.
- Send malware, phishing, or content that is unlawful in your or your recipients' jurisdiction.
- Probe, disrupt, or overload the service or other tenants.
Marketing mail sent through SendSignal carries RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, and bounces and complaints are suppressed automatically. Sustained high bounce or complaint rates can lead to sending being paused while we work it out with you; egregious abuse leads to termination.
Quotas and billing
Plans carry monthly sending quotas. When you reach your quota, sending pauses; we do not bill overages automatically. Fees, where applicable, are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
Your content
You retain all rights to the messages, templates, and contact data you bring. You grant us the license needed to transmit and store them for you. You are responsible for having the right to email your recipients and for the content of your messages.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On closure we delete your account data as described in the privacy policy.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SendSignal is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the changelog before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
